Description

Indoor Skydiving

Who hasn’t dreamed of flying? Those carefree moments in a world of your own, when your outstretched arms become wings on which you soar over trees, buildings and people below whom don’t even realize you are there. Indoor skydiving may make those dreams become reality without the overwhelming fear that comes with jumping out of an aircraft. You will actually be skydiving in a vertical wind tunnel and make no mistake, the thrill is there!

An article from “Indoor Skydiving” describes the activity in the following way: “Flying on a column of wind is one  of the purest forms of flight there is. It allows you to freely fly your body and effortlessly control your movements”.1

From nine to ninety, the typical flyer is first registered and oriented. You are supplied with all the equipment needed and are taught the basics in a classroom setting. From there, like a fledgling baby robin, you enter the glass encased tunnel with an instructor who will be with you during your “flight.” As you step out of the wind tunnel, perhaps a little wobbly, you may be thinking, just as “Independence Day” actor Will Smith “I gotta get me one of these”!  At the very least you will want try this again.

Many of these indoor skydiving operations are able to host events, conferences and provide catering services.
