Take A Trip To The Tidal Bore

Only a few locations in the world permit you to witness a river flowing in reverse and a bay where the ocean rushes in, creating some of the highest tides on the planet.

Trip To A Tidal Bore
If your travels ever take you to New Brunswick, one of four Maritime provinces situated on Canada’s east coast beside the majestic Atlantic Ocean, you would be well advised to visit the Bay of Funday, where in excess of one and one-half billion tonnes of salt water from the heaving Atlantic rush into the bay. This massive force of nature creates the highest tides in the entire world! It is responsible also for creating one of very few tidal phenomena known as the “Tidal Bore”, where a very powerful incoming tide on the Peticodiac River, creates waves of water gushing upriver against the flow of the river. Simply amazing!
Don’t just be a spectator. Rafting resorts make available two and four hour tidal bore rafting adventures developed especially for those who are “not faint of heart.” Check it out at  [email protected]
