Get your team involved It takes teamwork to care for Canada’s natural places. From our wetlands, to woodlands, grasslands and coastlines, thousands of Canadians team up with Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) every year to help with important conservation projects across the country. Join the fun with our customized group volunteer events, developed to meet your team’s needs. Whether it’s a day trip to nearby nature reserve or an in-office workshop, experience a full day of unique team engagement… all in the name of conservation! Volunteer in nature, for nature Want to spend time in nature and contribute to priority conservation goals? Audi Canada employee planting prairie plugs at NCC’s Hazel Bird property, ON (Photo by NCC) NCC invites your organization to spend a hands-on day in nature with our expert conservation staff, working to protect and care for some of our country’s most unique places. These exciting one-day events provide team-building opportunities that take your employees out of the office and into nature at one of NCC’s nature reserves, while ensuring we have you back before the end of your work day. Your team will learn about local habitat, rare species, and NCC’s conservation initiatives, all while contributing directly to preserving Canada’s natural heritage. Bring nature to your office Bring hands-on conservation right to your office! NCC will lead employee volunteers in an educational and impactful workshop where they will work together on a project that will be used in NCC’s on-the-ground stewardship work. Your team will learn about the role of hands-on stewardship on natural landscapes and the contribution your team is making to nature. How To

Things To Do Before

Make sure you go through your checklist of things you need to bring. Check the weather and dress appropriately. Arrange a car pool to reduce the number of vehicles needed. Look at the directions on where the location is and how to get there.

Things To Do After

Get your team together for a group photo. Head to a local restaurant, pub, diner to refuel with some food and drink and reflect on a job well done. Book you next group conservation effort with Nature Conservancy Canada.

Tips

Give your team ample advance notice of the group volunteering event. This will help you get the most people out as it will give them time to schedule accordingly.
