Strawberry Popsicles—a year round, refreshing and healthy treat with a flavor that explodes in your mouth! Is it possible? Well yes it is.
South of the American border , they are called paletas. Everywhere else, they are a delicious, frozen treat you can make at home. Read on.
Prep time is approximately twenty minutes.
Freezer time is approximately five hours.
Ingredients
2 lbs of ripe fresh strawberries washed and hulled
Popsicle sticks
Instructions
Thinly slice five or six strawberries to decorate molds.
Halve or quarter remaining strawberries and blend into a puree.
Stick the slices of strawberries around the sides of the molds. So pleasing to the eye.
The strawberry puree is poured into the popsicle molds.
Cover and insert your popsicles sticks.
Place popsicle mold into freezer for approximately five hours
This is both a refreshing and healthy treat all year round.
